Has been pivotal in the development of modern dance in France. Along with her husband Dominique Dupuy, she co-founded the Ballet Modernes de Paris in 1955, which performed at the Edinburgh International Festival in 1958. In 1968 they created RIDC (International Exchanges in Contemporary Dance) in Paris and now co-direct Le Mas de la Danse – a Centre for Studies and Research in Contemporary Dance, in Provence. Françoise Dupuy continues to choreograph, teach and perform. |
