Commissioned by Citymoves for Dance Live! 2007 and presented at Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen. A collaborative project between choreographer Claire Pençak, dancer Merav Israel and visual artist Norman Gibson. An abstract geometric installation of suspended lines and circles creates a dynamic space for the dancer to inhabit. We catch fleeting glimpses of movement in reflective materials that gives the sense of deeper places. Soaring lines articulates the aerial heights . The dancer passes in between spinning and suspending time in her movement. Hlysnan is quiet work of delicate details and savoured moments, where each shift in the body, in space, in light becomes an event. Hlysnan – the old English root of the word to listen Creative Collaboraters
