This studio performance of ‘Lisbon Diaries’ is the culmination of a week-long residency at CityMoves as part of the DanceLIVE! festival.

During the week Claire Pençak will be collaborating with student composers from the University of Aberdeen, final year dance students from the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and dance professionals from Aberdeen on a series of miniature pieces .

These pocket sized dances have grown from phrases and ideas devised over three creative labs in Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee. The starting point for these phrases was a diary of observations kept over a 6 week period whilst working in Lisbon.  43 days  – 43 phrases.

This is a choreographic experiment and the spirit of the project is exploratory, playful and fleet of foot.
